AC-3
The Audio Codec-3 was the technical and original name for Dolby Digital. Is a system which give 5 self-canals (left, right, central, left and right surround) in audio television and all those canals are reproduced between a scale of 20 at 20.000 Hz. and can give an optional and independent subwoofer canal. At those canals is added a canal for low frequency effects.
ACTIVE X
Software developed by Microsoft in 1997, which permit at programs or content to be conducted at computers with Windows by using Internet. An example of its application is being able to open text files in Internet browser. The failure of this software is its vulnerable security, that’s why its utilisation is inadvisable.
ADSL
Asymmetrical Digital line Subscription. Internet connection technology with speed bandwidth to 16 Mbps.
APPLICATION
Any program which is executed in an operational system and which make a specific function for a user.
ASP
Active Server Pages. There are files disposing of programs (or scripts) which are executed in a server Microsoft Internet Information Server before being shown at the user. The extension file is .asp
